Hey guys, ladie-gents,

was again a fun lake training.  You see, overall fitness even counts in and around tri swimming.  There should be a number of triceps being in pain right now.

It is nice to see our “newbies” doing so well.

Matthias

Nice indoor practice while heavy thunder and rain outside. The deep end lanes allowed us to enjoy some different sets.

Thanks for coming. Hope it was fun.

Super training in PPP: ” Reality show training” Sylvie got after Peter, interesting to watch (different technique, different style).

Sylvie and Peter bettered their times during repeats, great commitment guys, here’s the reality of  performance training: Tough, but satisfying (Peter: 3:33/3:23/3:19;  Sylvie: 3:50/3:33/3:23  on a 900 m loop).

Therese performed well, but was on partial hold in order to save her for her  competition coming up weekend.

He guys,

great aquatic workout last night. No regrets having to come out thus far, the lake was “pudel” warm and pleasant.

Cheers to Nadine who wa with us the 1st time, and, she showed a strong competition in Guysborough last weekend. Congats, excellent swim time!

Thanks to Heather and David who hosted us nicely. Good strong coffee!!! – I slept well.

Was fun, I hope you all enjoyed the workout and the social.

But, hoolo-hupla: Where was Janice? And, where was Patricia?

Matthias

Very nice lake training again!!!

We covered between 2.2 and 3.7 km last night.

Thanks for coming out.

We will swim “Heither’s” Lake next week (address etc. will follow).

Hello,

Good morning guys,

The lake training turned out to be pretty nice. The water was pleasant, a little “cheery” for the ones without wet suits. The fast group covered a totto of 3250m, the 2nd group summoned up at about 2250m.

Thanks for coming out.

Matthias

Hey guys,

Nice start into the lake training. Also nice to have some new athlete’s in the water – “Newby’s”. I also welcome Bob for whom an organized -”structured” – lake swim training is something new and exciting (Who would be used to have so many rubber arms splashing around him at once?).

Karalyn seem to have gained in her swim – thanks to her work with Bob and Sylvie, but, haha, we will do some definite testing on our way and I hope all progress will show even more clearly.

Thanks for being a part of the group this 2011 summer. I appreciate you all, it is nice fun (even if I might be to shy to show it all to clearly).

Let’s hope the summer will stay.

Cheers,

Matthias

The “sublety of running” !!!

The run training this week happened at sunny conditions. Good work, tough, but also some good technique “insides”.  The subtlety of running – long misunderstood.

Still lot’s to learn.

Enjoy the images.

Running on Citadel Hill

Platypus Tri Camp – May 28-29, 2011

Left to right: Janice Gaudet, Nadine Jewer, Therese O'Neill, Matthias Jaepel

Super commitment and dedication moved us along while we waited for the sun. Nice progress, tough workouts and – indeed – warm lake water !!! made this training camp, again, a success.

Evenings were short due to fatigue, but we shared some nice meals and best coffee.

Congrats to all participants.

Wading in the water

Hey Guys,

Super training last night, appreciate your commitment.

The big points were:  stride to breathing rhythm, learn to pace yourself using your breathing/stride correlation, learn to train right, leave your ego in the locker room.

Cheers,

Matthias
